Photovoltaic inverter installation position
How to place the inverterYou have to mount it vertically or in a specific maximum angle. The connection panel should point downward.Do not place it tilted forward.Do not place it tilted to the side.Do not place it horizontally.Place it on eye level to be able read its operating conditions on any given moment.

The Right Location and PositionInverters should not be exposed to direct sunlight.Inverters should not get wet from rain or snow.Installation of the inverter cannot be tilted too much (15° maximum), inverted, or tiled. There should be a certain distance between the right and left sides of the backplate when installing the inverter.
The placement of a solar inverter can impact its energy output by up to 25%. Solar inverters can be installed indoors or outdoors, but a shaded, well-ventilated spot is always recommended.
Microinverters and power optimizers are installed below the solar panels whereas a string inverter may be installed indoor or outdoor as per the installer recommendation or homeowner requirements.
However, a shaded spot, away from direct sunlight and moisture, is always recommended for installing a solar inverter.
