Water leakage during renovation of photovoltaic panels
Two major factors affecting the performance of properly sited and installed solar water heating systems include scaling (in liquid or hydronic-based systems) and corrosion (in hydronic and air systems).

Floating PV installations are cooled by water evaporation from the water body at the back of the panel; hence, they generate more power without water consumption (Choi, 2014). The water consumption during the manufacturing and recycling processes is considerably higher than the water consumption during operation.
When retrofitting solar, it is important that the roof-mounted equipment not interfere with the proper operations of these drainage features. Water ponding not only increases roof loading, but also can lead to premature roof degradation. Standing water is also to blame for some types of in-field PV system failures.
While the panels won’t protect the roof from the leak, it would be tough for you to revamp your roof after installing the solar panels. How to identify and fix the solar water leaks on the roof? Several reasons may cause the roof leaks, and each of them has different solutions.
There are various reasons your roof could leak after installing solar panels. They mostly have to do with poor installation where mounting holes are not sealed properly, the top is incompatible with solar panels, or the roof is old and not designed for solar panels.
